Harmony H55 - #368 X-brace Conversion

Factory uncompleted H55. In one of the images you can see the factory filled tuner/tone control potentiometer mounting holes. At some point a previous owner added stickers. I removed these as much as possible. Also, note the extra long fret board and sound hole moved closer to the bridge. On the H55, the pickup pole pieces would show through the end of the fret board extension. They left extra wood for that purpose.

Bridge and bracing are replaced. Rest of guitar is all original.

Sound is excellent. Action is 4/64 inch High-E and 5/64 Low-E at 12 th fret.

Neck was reset.

Back was removed and top braces replaced with X-bracing. Sides have extra bracing.

• Truss Rod cover - original in good condition (Not showing in the images but will be added.)
• Truss Rod - original single action.
• Pick guard - None (never had one)
• End pin - Original

Condition

• Top - No pick wear. Four cracks all compressively stabilized. You can see them but not feel them.
• Sides - Good condition. Two 3 inch cracks which do not show on the inside.
• Gear head back and face are good. I fill and refinish every tuner screw hole before attaching the tuners.
• Neck - Very good all around. Low profile.
