I was not able to list this guitar at noon due to conditions beyond my control.
The guitar is a 1971 Sovereign. It is built exactly like the 60s Sovereigns with two exceptions: The truss rod is a much improved "U" channel and the peg head had a plastic overlay. The decomposing overlay was replaced with mahogany.
Factory fresh hard shell case is optional - add $110 (our cost)
Back was removed, top braces removed, new top braces installed.
Neck is excellent. Action is 4/64 at the 12th fret.
Structurally speaking, this is in excellent condition.
Neck was reset.
If you are looking for a truly great sounding guitar this is the one. Harmonic overtones are excellent. Intonation is excellent. Full range highs and lows.
We pay attention to fine details. The inside back and sides are cleaned up and sanded smooth. We chip out all of the glue globs. Braces are tapered and sanded smooth. Serial numbers (if any) are preserved. Back braces are rounded and sanded smooth. We use a drill press and reamer to install new solid metal bushings and modern tuners. We do what Harmony should have done 50 years ago.
