Tone quality and harmonic response are outstanding. This guitar offers nice play feel and perfect intonation. Action is 4/64 at the 12th fret.

Neck was reset.

Back was removed, upper bout bracing was replaced. All other Martin installed bracing is intact.

Bracing is added to the sides.

Please note - this is definitely not a show piece guitar. It is a player guitar for those who don’t care how a guitar looks but want a great sounding smaller sized guitar.

New Parts

• Frets - all new high profile

• Tuners - Older Grover Rotomatics, gold plated. These work perfectly, but do have some cosmetic wear.

Original Parts

• Bracing - As originally installed by Martin, except for upper bout repairs. The original had failed completely.
• Pin Bridge - Indian Rosewood
• Bridge plate - maple
• Neck - Solid Honduras mahogany with nice thin profile.
• Fret Board - Indian rosewood with luxurious abalone markers.
• Back and sides - Solid Honduras mahogany
• Nut - original plastic shimmed with ebony. This guitar needed a reset badly so someone cut down the nut way too much. Geez, leave well enough alone, people.
• Truss Rod - original and working
• Truss Rod cover - original
• Pick guard - None.

Condition

• Top - I would rate this as excellent, except for two major cracks below bridge, fully stabilized. Otherwise minimal pick wear, all filled. This is a very lovely guitar, except for the two cracks. The visible crack below the pick guard is not through the wood.
• Sides - Multiple cracks, fully and comprehensively stabilized. This old girl was smacked around like someone was trying to kill a fish. The only significant damage is a side crack that goes all around one side. You can use an inspection mirror to see the detailed stabilization. I would love to keep this for my self, but just can’t. Also, I can’t figure out how Martin makes such a great sounding small body guitar.
• Back - Several cracks. all stabilized.
• Gear head face is excellent.
• Gear head back is excellent.
• Neck is excellent. I consider this a short scale guitar. Lovely position markers. Filled strap peg hole on heel.
• Fret board was completely refreshed. Nice and smooth.
