Like new excellent condition almost unplayed 1976 Mossman Great Plains dreadnought guitar
This varnish finished beauty has zero pick wear. There is not a pick wear scratch on it.
We did the "Agony of Defeat" repair on the upper bout. This involves cutting away two neck block fingers under the top and installing a cross brace. This completely stops all upper bout distortion which is now endemic on all Mossman guitars.
Everything is original with the following exceptions:
New Parts
Bone saddle
Ivoroid Galalith bridge pins (4965-S). These match the originals but are far nicer.
OEM Parts
Tuners - Grovers made in USA
Top - solid Sitka spruce
Back and sides - Solid Indian rosewood.
Neck - Solid premium Honduras mahogany
Frets - all original
Problems
There is one ding on the top, lower bout.
We just noticed a small blemish on the down side of the fret board extension. We buffed this and it is barely visible. Because this is a varnish finished guitar, this blemish is not repairable. It is very small.
